Opening hours and guided tours

As a special bonus for the opening, all visitors will receive a 50% discount on their ticket on July 1 + 2.
Show, exhibitions and skywalk
Thursday till Sunday : 11 am – 7 pm
First show start: 11:15 am
Last admission: 6:15 pm
Tours
The gas boiler, its history and the conversion are unique in the world. As a visitor, you will not only experience the show, but also learn a lot of interesting information about the exhibition and this industrial monument that is well worth seeing.

The easiest way to purchase tickets for the Visiodrom is to book through our ticket shop. This will also save you unnecessary waiting time at the box office.
Of course, you are also welcome to purchase your tickets on site – cash or by card – at the box office.
Current corona regulations
1. please always wear your mouth-nose mask.
2. please keep at least 1.5 meters distance to other visitors.
3. please register at the entrance with your name, address and telephone number. Or simply use the Luca or official Corona app to register quickly and easily.
No timeslots/time windows required. The location in Wuppertal and the very well ventilated architecture of the building allows you to choose your visiting time freely. Proof of testing is also not required at this time.
Corona is not over yet! Help to keep the situation stable by behaving responsibly.

Information for your visit
Please note during your visit that the Gasometer is not heated.
Especially on cold days the inside temperature corresponds to the outside temperature.
Please be on site with everyone about 30 minutes before the tour begins for registration and billing.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the area of the exhibition and show.
Parking spaces are available directly at the gas boiler.
Bus parking is also available and can be reserved.
The Gasometer Wuppertal has disabled access. Handicapped parking spaces are located directly in front of the entrance. The big show the exhibition under the pressure disc and the gastronomy are barrier-free accessible. The exhibition on the pressure disc “History and change of the Gasometer” and the skywalk are only limited usable or barrier-free.

Approach by car
From the direction of Düsseldorf/Cologne/Mönchengladbach:
A46 exit Wuppertal-Barmen, drive in the direction of Barmen-Zentrum for about 1.5 km on Carnaper Straße. At the “Alter Markt” turn left onto the B7/Höhne in the direction of Schwelm/Langerfeld, stay on the B7 for about 2.5 km, turn right into Rauentaler Bergstraße, take the next right again into Waldeckstraße – then the gasometer is ahead – parking is available directly at the gasometer! (The navigation system may offer different routes. However, the one listed above is the easiest).
From direction Frankfurt/Duisburg:
From the A3 at the Hilden junction take the A46 towards Wuppertal, A46 exit Wuppertal-Barmen, then follow the description above.
Coming from Dortmund/Münster:
A1 exit Wuppertal-Langerfeld, drive in the direction of Barmen/Elberfeld for about 2.5 km on the B7/Jesinghauser Straße. Turn left into Rauentaler Bergstraße, take the next right into Waldeckstraße – then the gasometer is ahead – parking spaces are available directly at the gasometer!
From direction Essen/Bochum:
From the A43 at the motorway junction Wuppertal-Nord take the A1 towards Wuppertal, A1 exit Wuppertal-Langerfeld, then follow the description above.
Arrival by train and suspension railway
From Wuppertal main station take the S8, RE7 or RE13 to Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. From there, the Gasometer is easy to see and can be reached on foot in three minutes.
Or leave Wuppertal Hbf and take the Schwebebahn in the direction of Barmen to the terminus Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. The Gasometer is also easy to see from the suspension railway station and can be reached on foot in three minutes.
