All our guided tours combine the unique architecture and history of the Wuppertal gas boiler with the fantastic experiences at Visiodrom. A guided tour of the Gaskessel Wuppertal with its unique history, architecture and the fantastic Visiodrom is absolutely worthwhile. Experience one of the most extraordinary buildings in Europe with 360° views from the Skywalk. The highlight of every tour is the current top-class immersive shows on screens over 40 meters high, combined with the accompanying exhibitions.

Important information for visitors

Please note during your visit that Gaskessel is not heated.
The inside temperature is the same as the outside temperature, especially on cold days.

Please be on site with all persons approx. 30 minutes before the start of the tour to organize registration and billing.

Dogs are unfortunately not permitted in the exhibition and show area.

Parking spaces are available directly at Gaskessel.

Coach parking spaces are also available and can be reserved.

The Gaskessel Wuppertal has disabled access. Disabled parking spaces are located directly in front of the entrance. The big show, the exhibition under the pressure plate and the catering facilities are barrier-free. The exhibition on the pressure plate “History and change of the gas boiler” and the Skywalk are only accessible to a limited extent.

Booking conditions

Individual guided tours can be booked online via our booking form or in writing, stating your contact details.

A guided tour is limited to a maximum of 60 participants. This results in additional costs of 35 euros per 20 people, as this is the only way we can guarantee the quality of our guided tours and customer satisfaction. Several tours can take place at slightly different times, depending on availability. Each tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Please allow extra time for a visit to the Aposto restaurant. This is not part of the regular tour.

The agreed date for a group booking can be changed to an alternative date up to a maximum of seven days before the booked date, provided that our capacities allow this. After that, it is no longer possible to change the date. Additional persons can simply be added to the booking at a later date in accordance with the price conditions, provided the request is received at least seven days before the booked date and capacity has not yet been exhausted.

We recommend being on site at least 30 minutes before the booked time. On arrival, the group must register with a GASKESSEL Event GmbH employee who will then explain the registration process to the group.

If group members or class members under the age of 12 participate in the booking, the booking visitor undertakes to supervise these group members during the entire stay and is responsible for their behavior.

If a group member does not comply with the GASKESSEL Event GmbH General Terms and Conditions (in particular the house rules, user rules, parking rules and safety and warning notices, if available), this group member will be expelled from the GASKESSEL and its premises in accordance with GASKESSEL Event GmbH.

Payment modalities

Please always register your group at the ticket office. You can pay there in cash or cashless. Invoicing is only possible from a total value of over 500 euros. (We reserve the right not to accept 200 and 500 euro bills).

Guided tours can be canceled free of charge up to 7 days before the tour date. If the tour is canceled at a later date, we must charge the full fee for the tour.

For private bookings or bookings by clubs, school classes or kindergarten groups, payment of the full invoice amount is also required on site.
