Arrival by car

From Düsseldorf/Cologne/Mönchengladbach:
A46 Exit Wuppertal-Barmen, drive towards Barmen-Zentrum for about 1.5 km on Carnaper StraĂźe. At the “Alter Markt” turn left onto the B7/Höhne towards Schwelm/Langerfeld, stay on the B7 for about 2.5 km, turn right into Rauentaler BergstraĂźe, next right again into WaldeckstraĂźe – then the Gaskessel is ahead – parking spaces are available directly at the Gaskessel! (The navigation system may offer different routes. However, the route listed above is the easiest).

From Frankfurt/Duisburg:
From the A3 at the Hilden interchange, take the A46 towards Wuppertal, A46 exit Wuppertal-Barmen, then follow the description above.

From Dortmund/MĂĽnster:
A1 exit Wuppertal-Langerfeld, take the B7/Jesinghauser StraĂźe in the direction of Barmen/Elberfeld for about 2.5 km. Turn left into Rauentaler BergstraĂźe, next right into WaldeckstraĂźe – then the Gaskessel is ahead – parking is available directly at the Gaskessel!

From the direction of Essen/Bochum:
From the A43 at the Wuppertal-Nord junction take the A1 towards Wuppertal, A1 exit Wuppertal-Langerfeld, then follow the description above.

Arrival by train and suspension railroad

From Wuppertal Hbf take the S8, RE7 or RE13 to Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. From there, the Gaskessel is clearly visible and can be easily reached on foot in three minutes.
Or leave Wuppertal main station and take the suspension railroad in the direction of Barmen to the terminus Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. The Gaskessel is also clearly visible from the suspension railroad station and can be easily reached on foot in three minutes.
