The graffiti show is back! Amazing URBAN ART at the Visiodrom
Due to its great success in May, the photo show “Amazing Urban Art” by media artist Heinrich Brinkmöller-Becker(http://fotobrinkbeck.de/news) will be performed again on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 8 pm. The first immersive journey to the Mural Harbor in Linz, Austria, was already sold out. The Mural Harbor is the largest open-air gallery for graffiti art. Hundreds of images in a wide variety of sizes and motifs can be found here on 135 hectares. These include huge works by world-famous artists such as Nychos, KARSKY & BEYOND, LUSHSUX and Gerhard Haderer. The photo show is an impressive visual journey across the huge area along the largest and most beautiful works. Many of the works shown here no longer exist today. Because street art is always in motion, constantly changing and renewing itself.
Special music for an extraordinary journey
To emphasize the subcultural character of the graffiti on display, jazz connoisseur Brinkmöller-Becker also adds improvised music to his projection. The sometimes somewhat experimental sound sequences reflect the raw character, but also the charm and humor of the images. For almost 60 minutes, the impressive photo show takes you into the world of modern street art. For Wuppertal in particular, this is also a journey into the future of the city. Over the next three years, the Urbaner KunstRaum Wuppertal(https://www.urbaner-kunstraum.de) team will be working on nothing less than making Wuppertal the German capital of graffiti art.
