Organ concert in the Visiodrom “O lux beata – O blessed light!”

The Visiodrom is proud to present a unique musical treat as part of the Wuppertal Organ Festival: “O lux beata – O blessed light!”. The concert offers an exciting fusion of organ music, Gregorian chant and clarinet, presented by the talented musicians Wolfgang Kläsener and Andre Enthöfer as well as the Schola Gregoriana Solingen-West. In the impressive atmosphere of the Visiodrom, the concert takes visitors on a musical journey through time. Wolfgang Kläsener will play music from four centuries on his chest organ. The chest organ, a small, transportable organ, is characterized by its unique sound and enables an intimate, acoustic experience. The Schola Gregoriana Solingen-West under the direction of Wolfgang Kläsener brings the Gregorian chants of the Middle Ages to life. The acoustic challenge of the gigantic Visiodrom is skillfully mastered here, with the volumes and tempos adapted to the unique conditions of the space. Andre Enthöfer, a talented clarinettist and saxophonist, brings an additional richness of sound to the concert. His interpretations, which range from traditional melodies to avant-garde sounds, complement the concert and give it a unique character. He is known for his ability to switch between different genres without losing his own artistic style. Together, these artists create an extraordinary acoustic event that touches the audience deeply and stays with them for a long time. The fusion of organ, clarinet and vocals in the breathtaking surroundings of the Visiodrom is a unique experience not to be missed. We cordially invite you to experience this special event on July 6, 2023 at 19:00 in the Visiodrom in the Gaskessel Wuppertal. Admission starts at 18:30.
