Monet & Choir 2
If you missed it in April, you now have a second chance! On Friday, June 23, 2023, we are repeating our fascinating “Monet & Choir” event due to popular demand. In this extraordinary encounter between art and music, Claude Monet’s masterpieces meet the a cappella singing of the renowned Wuppertal Concert Choir. In the impressive Visiodrom, we present Monet’s breathtaking impressionist paintings in oversized dimensions. These visual highlights are harmoniously accompanied by the Wuppertal Concert Choir, which creates a special experience with pieces from the same era. Let yourself be carried away into a world full of nature and reverie through this unique fusion of visual and aural experiences. The evening continues to combine Monet’s impressionism with the musical aesthetics of Romanticism. The musical program once again includes compositions by Fanny Hensel and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Clara and Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, complemented by French impressionist choral literature by Jules Massenet and Camille Saint-Saens. As a special encore, works by the Wuppertal composers Lutz-Werner Hesse and Peter Paul Förster will be performed. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience this unique symbiosis of art and music. Immerse yourself in the world of Claude Monet and his musical contemporaries. The Monet exhibition with the Wuppertal Concert Choir is an unforgettable experience that you should not miss.
