Engels was an impressive 16-minute light show, full of detail and inner drama, which presented the life and work of Friedrich Engels in an unprecedented form. The revolutionary mastermind Friedrich Engels lived and worked in Wuppertal. To mark the 200th anniversary of his birth, artist Gregor Eisenmann performed the projection mapping ENGELS 2020 at the Wuppertal Opera House. In a globally unique process, it was possible to translate this show into the interior of the gas boiler.

ENGELS 2020 was accompanied by a special exhibition on the first floor dedicated to Friedrich Engels. In addition to other works by the artist Gregor Eisenmann, the original mapping on the opera house and the transformation process of the work could also be experienced.
