The exhibition shows the unique beauty of our planet through large-format, award-winning photographs and film footage. Let yourself be carried away to worlds of ice and deserts, mountains and oceans. “The Fragile Paradise” also addresses the consequences of human actions. The consequences of climate change, industrial agriculture or the clearing of the tropical rainforest in the Anthropocene era. But more and more people are becoming aware of the fragility of our home planet.
The highlight of the exhibition in the 100-metre-high air space of the Gasometer is a monumental globe onto which high-resolution satellite images are projected. From the perspective of the astronauts we see clouds and rivers, recognize the continents in the change of day and night and in the change of seasons. But we also see things that we can only see with the eyes of satellites: ocean currents, temperature differences, air traffic…

“There’s never been so much Monet!”
“Monet – Rebel and Genius” is an immersive experience in a class of its own. The show, with its many details and skillful arrangements of famous paintings, stands out far from the crowd of the usual immersive offerings. Sensitively composed especially for the rooms of the Visiodrom with respect for the work of the father of Impressionism, “Monet – Rebel and Genius” brings the masterful paintings of Claude Monet to life. Travel through France in the painter’s footsteps and experience Monet’s greatest painterly moments firsthand. The accompanying exhibition also provides deep insights into Monet’s tumultuous life and times.
